This priory period we were split into different classes by grade and talked about the serious top of pornography. We reviewed the main points of the speakers talk and the addictive qualities of pornography and the adverse affects of the addiction. By doing this talk we covered mastery of self.

This week Hugh Priory had a discussion regarding Wednesday's speaker on pornography, its addictive qualities, and how to get help for our brothers. The discussions were split up by grade level because students would be more willing to discuss such a serious topic with their peers. Hugh is also working on developing their priory-wide service project which will include putting together blankets and distributing them to the impoverished members of the community.

This week the Alexis Priory had a discussion about the speaker we had on Wednesday. Every Assistant Prior was put with a certain grade level and they prepared their own plans using the resource paper that PAL gave everyone. Alexis is also finalizing the details of our service project with the Leisure Center Nursing Home. We are going to pass out the permission slips for the students to fill out and start visiting the Nursing home as soon as possible.

On Thursday, all priories went into the theater for mass. On Friday, each homeroom had an assistant-prior facilitated discussion about the effects of pornography in all of our lives and how it can hurt each of us. We talked about the spiritual facts in addition to the concrete facts that the speaker discussed. We discussed its addictive qualities and how to get help. This activity went very well and I think everyone learned from it.

Bonfilius had a great mass on Thursday. We also had a great and involved discussion on Thursday about the Pornography topic. Students were engaged and listening.

This week, we worked on John Marshall communications for our Physical Education classes, and we visited the school to put on a class. Bonfilius was also involved in Grade Level Knowledge and Whist in the priory periods. With Grade Level Knowledge, Frehsmen learn the COR book, Sophomores learn about the Priory Garden and plant plants, Juniors learn about countries in the World, and Seniors get Stock Market exposure. Whist is a card game that involves signal-based non-verbal communication and builds those skills.

This week, students from Connor Noden's homeroom went over to John Marshall to help tutor the students. We left at lunch and returned before the start of 7th period.

This week, Manettus took a day to go out onto the field and play flag football. This activity requires necessity of the other and caused the homeroom to work together. On Friday we took our quarter finals which required different knowledge for each grade and the memorization of the homeroom members names.

This week, Bonfilius did an activity out in the field involving forming a monster out of the Homeroom members. This required teamwork and mastery of self, as the students were coming together to be a complete monster, each performing separate functions. The students had fun outside and were able to participate and have fun.

This week Sostene watched scenes from Band of Brothers. We discussed the leadership values of Lieutenant Dyk in comparison to the other members of the company and how these related to the formation themes of Mastery of Self, Necessity of the Other, and Primacy of Faith.
