Priory Period 12/1-2

On these days, we watched the Human Experience after a short prayer and scripture discussion. We also discussed what we saw in the movie afterwards.

Today we took our Priory Picture out in the quad. We also went to a Campus Ministry Prayer Service in the Chapel. In our extra time, we discussed Grade-level Knowledge in class. The sophomores received their country (Slovenia), the Juniors learned about the garden, and the Freshmen were quizzed on multiplication tables.

Priory Period 1/19 and 1/20

On Thursday, the Alexis priory played Whist. This activity promoted teamwork, as each student was paired with another and they had to work together without talking. One player had to try and determine what cards would be best for them to play so that their partner could win.

On Friday, we played Ultimate Frisbee. The Athletics Committee is sponsoring a tournament between all of the priories. Garrett Airey's homeroom won the games in the Alexis priory, and they will be competing for Alexis in the tournament.

Manettus Finding the Path to Success! 1/19/2012

For Priory period today, January 19, 2012, Manettus had a scavenger hunt. Not just an ordinary one, but having to find people with certain characteristics and have experienced different events throughout their life. These ranged from "needs to get a haircut" to whether someone had been to another country in the past year. The students went around to each homeroom, collecting signatures, and the one with all signatures won a $10 gift card to In-N-Out. Now, we wait and see what Edric has in store for us tomorrow.

PLC Mid-Year Summit

PLC goes on two yearly trips: one in the Summer, and one in January. During this years Mid-Year Summit planning went on, a guest speaker came to speak, softball was played, and mass was attended. The Mid-Year Summit was held at St. Anne's Parish in Seal Beach on Friday the 13th. As the Second Semester starts PLC plans to continue their hard work and make this semester even better than the last.

Bonfilius Staying Strong!

For the Past Weeks the Bonfilius Priory has been teaching the P.E. program at John Marshall, the elementary school down the street. The homerooms have been assigned weeks to go to the school and are responsible for what they teach the kids. The kids were most recently taught soccer and both the Elementary School and High School Students had a blast. The Bonfilius Priory has made such a big impact on the school that the Bonfilius Prior, Kevin Olivier, was also made Principal for the Day!
